Are you talking about self hosting for fluxer? They explicitly state in their documentation they don’t want people using the current version because they’re doing a rewrite, so you should wait.

It’s difficult. If people don’t support Firefox then the downstream browsers that everyone in this thread are suggesting are fucked. And we’re stuck with chrome and safari. But if people support Mozilla too much then they’ll just do whatever they want, like this AI nonsense.

The latest Firefox release added a button that does exactly what you want. Turns off AI everywhere.

It doesn’t include Reddit, it doesn’t include Lemmy. But because so many damn people just refer to any site that they can talk with other people on as social media, it became enshrined in law and now literally every service you touch is legally defined as social media.

This is not hyperbole; with the current definitions across numerous countries, Amazon (the place where you buy things, not other services like games) is legally defined as social media.

Words mean things and when words are hijacked for other purposes it allows governments to strip away your rights without you realizing.
