Both were bricked by the software a month after the warranty expired. To the day. Screen just shows a little explanation point instead of turning the fucking fan on. They wanted $250/fan to repair them outside of warranty. Probably would have been fine if I hadn’t connected them to the internet.
Yep, hence why I will tell anyone at any opportunity to never buy Dyson. Overpriced, over engineered crap. And anything with wifi connectivity that doesn’t really need it. It’s just spyware/adware, and will probably brick your shit after warranty is out. Sonos does the same thing.
I have one a Dyson vacuum from before the fans and it’s genuinely such a pain in the ass to use with so many points of failure that it requires babying just to use without dumping the dirt on the ground. I’m at the point where I’m looking to try and find bags for my 10 year old Miele to use instead because at least it works properly.
That feels like fraud.
