No, it doesn’t “need” corn. It wants cheap corn as animal food, so that consumers can buy cheap meat etc. This is not necessary at all, and if we reduce the amount of factory farmed animals it will be actually beneficial.

it would cut Co2 emissions by a lot. Also it would lead to an improved health for a lot of citizens in the long term.
