He bragged about sexually assaulting women, and got elected, tried to overturn the next election with violence, stole a huge pile of documents, which was illegal, had multiple felonies, but got away with it all and elected again.
Multi-count felon,
Wasn’t even held in jail,
Workers put in camps
I’m not going to give anyone grief for leaving maga. Infact, I welcome them back with open arms.
Facebook ass meme
Don’t look a gift horse in the mouth
Yea and no. If they haven’t actually learned anything then they will continue making the same mistakes and being the same problem. Conservatives should be radicalizing people and yet there are still hordes of centrists going “yea but maaaaaybe” and conservatives who are just mad at one particular guy but will forget it all right quick.
Trying to be open minded and accept people who are willing to change their views here, but it is very, very hard not to be bitter.
It’s also very hard to believe that people can change at all.
Shout outs to the gemini logo in the bottom right.
Meanwhile, Biden left the election campaign, after the assassination against his presidential elect competitor failed :D
True, but also, I hope no Democrat or Democratic ally says this to someone who has left the Republican party. Just thank them for changing their mind and move on. If they are no longer voting Republican, try to keep it that way.
they might vote dem. but more than likely, they’ll vote for the next right wing populist nutjob who comes along so they can own the libs.
Maybe if the libs weren’t so smug and obnoxious about calling anyone who disagrees with them stupid then people wouldn’t want to own them all the time.
You mean how this disgusting orange pedo commonly refers to the opposition as dumocrats…you’re ok with that but your snowflake fee-fees get hurt of they did the same to you and yours?
I refuse to conflate the terrible actions of a president with the morals of half the country.
Its not that we have differences of opinions which makes me think that you’re all fucking morons.
Maybe this didn’t need to be AI slop though.
for real, it would have taken all of 20 seconds to make this on a meme generator site
My dude, you’ve posted once since you’ve joined. You could re-type it out for him? Don’t be so harsh on the content posters. If it bothers you so much, start posting your own memes the old school way. I could see you being shitty if you’re doing everything by hand. https://imgflip.com/memegenerator
“It’s better to flood the Internet with bullshit GenAI slop than to wait into you have something worth posting”
Bro, you are the problem
Another non-poster. Thanks for your bitching about something you aren’t trying to change.
We did everything we could to tell them this would happen. Project 2025 was out there. They choose to believe the shit peddlers over the facts, again. Now, Project 2025 is about 60% complete and the US is a joke on the world stage.
I don’t care what they think anymore. They destroyed their own country and I cheer every time one of them suffers due to the shit-show they chose.
You wanted to own the libs at any cost right? Well it’s time to pay up bitches.
That is exactly the mentality which has put Trump in power.
Don’t care, don’t think, just judge based on your stereotype and without even trying to check reality. Go for hate and revange… it is so tiring
I hope a time will come when we can all calm down and talk about politics with reason rather than hate.
whatever fence-sitter. See you when they send us to the showers I guess.
When who send us to the showers? The one who left Trump’s movement? Or the ones still in who could be convinced out by those who left, if someone cared about them and helped them?
What good does it bring to just laught at them?
How rejecting them is different from Trump’s politics of rejecting all the “not like us”?
I mean I saw the people who “had a moment of clarity” in 2007, realized that Bush was a war criminal bring led by the nose by the defence and banking industry who ruined the country. And then suffered 0 literal 0 consequences.
And I saw who they voted for 8 years later.
So ya fuck em. Their broken. Built wrong. I’m not gonna give them a moment of peace or suffer their credence. I’m not gonna listen to them soft-pedal their excuses and try to limit our potentials because “It’s just like what Trump would have done.”
If they want to come to our side I want them to lie. I want them to be so ashamed they invent a fictional reality and live in that. Because I don’t want them on our side if they’re talking about how they didn’t know what he was gonna do.
“It is their fault if they are as they are, so they do not deserve anything.”
Put who ever you want as the “they”, it is still fascism.
The society you live in seems pushing its population to think that way. But no, it is not a “natural” way of thinking.
A recent post showed a study made in New York to find why maga neighborhood voted for the new mayor. The study shows how some people have clearly no political education and a very poor critical thinking capacity. You can’t decently blame them for being abused, just as you can’t blame the victime for the crime.
They would need help, and without it they will keep “limit your potentials”.
While I understand the sentiment (and harbor it myself) this sort of “I’m rubbing your face in it” rhetoric does nothing constructive. It isn’t propaganda for would-be Trump cult survivors. It’s mere pandering to those on the right side of history by sneering at “the other”.
If I saw a crack in any of my MAGA-cult relative’s façades or genuine walls I would leap at the opportunity to commiserate as an entry point to more reality-alignment discussion and see how far I could get.
People must stop doing harm before being taken back in as comrades but they’re still human being who deserve, and must be allowed by society, the opportunity to improve themselves and their behavior.
Disallowing that leads to much worse alternatives. Barring genuine sociopathy: we seek, and are often driven by, acceptance. It’s part of what soliciters of right-wing ideologies (e.g., manosphere) exploit, especially with young men, to convince them alignment with fascist theory as a way of life emotionally and sociopolitically must be within their best interest.
But let’s even go so far as to discard empathy and sentiment for a moment. If we set our humanity aside and consider this strategically (transactionally) then I see this as an opportunity to potentially mitigate harm. I am going to seize that advantage. Even if I’ve lost hope for that particular cultist. Taking the time to be supportive of (what may only ever turn out to be) a lapse in otherwise perpetual cognitive misfire may divert their path from “worst outcome” to “unacceptable but not an active threat”. I cannot effectively work with material if I find the material revolting.
I think even this colder perspective pushes us closer toward exercising empathy though. Because that’s the pit in my stomach that churned injustice into compulsion for radical action. The deep-seated stark truth that every feeling creature deserves respect and the opportunity to create safety together. That the promises of authoritarian rhetoric are a perversion of literal civilization.
At possibly its most blunt and mundane: "I don’t want other people abusing me, and; if I think I am the same thing other people are then it’s not going to feel good, or be reasonable, for me to abuse others.
Sneering is for snobs. The snobbish turn their nose at impure things because of, at least in part, their disgust of what’s stained them. Transposed onto persons directly that disgust reduces one or some of us to merely a point on which one may anchor one’s rage.
I won’t do that. Both because it offers no advantage in advancing even triage to response, let alone treatment, and because I find it distasteful, at best, without effort.

And if he switched back to hurting others, they would all flock back to him, and lick the grunge between his toes.
The half of the Hispanic demographic which doesn’t work for ICE probably isn’t coming back. I saw a clip where a Portuguese restaurant chain owner was going out of business and said “I thought he was going to be a good businessman and get the economy back on track.”
The average joe doesn’t have a fucking clue what’s going on outside of the occasional fox news clip or TikTok.
This is always so frustrating. Republican policies are not good for the economy! They lead to poisoned air and water and like two mega corps in a cartel charging you unreasonable rates!
“The guy who is constantly lying told the truth the whole time” is certainly a take
Honestly, if i was USian and somebody left the MAGA movement i wouldn’t throw it back in their face…
Thank you so much! The comments this thread are so depressing… it seems they don’t have what they would need to get outof politics based on hate
Fo’ sheezy. If hate is the problem in US politics then any neutral outside observer can’t help but notice the hate runs both ways, viscerally. To me, I’d go further, they seem to be so wrapped up in labels they’ve forgotten their basic humanity.
Edit before posting: Not all USians are consumed with hate - maybe just the vocal ones?
You are as much the enemy as they are.
Regardless of your personal feelings, it’s 100% true: Give your opponent a golden bridge on which to retreat.
Maybe they are reformed and truly see that you were right. Maybe they aren’t. Maybe they actually are incredibly stupid and will do the same thing again the first chance they get. But if they’re ideologically aligned with your same goals at the moment, then you better open up and make some space for them because I guarantee that your actual enemies are busy doing everything they can to make the path back to the dark side as easy and non-judgemental as possible.
If your goal is a short term win, yeah. For long term you’re better off messaging to those who would actually be democrats, rather than appealing to those who buy into the newest snake oil and don’t care who it hurts so long as it’s not them.
Ironically, that’s a rather short-sighted take.
Biggest issue here is that you’ve misrepresented or misunderstood what I stated. Mine wasn’t a discussion about “appealing to” those folks. If we’re already politically aligned on some set of goals (ex: limit Trump’s damage to the USA), I don’t have to appeal to them, they’re already with me on that issue as long as I don’t slam the door shut in their faces.
Next issue is that if you insist on dropping the ball on the short-term, you’ll never achieve what you want in the long term. On the other hand, getting wins along the way, short-term or not, will definitely get you closer to that long-term win you’re after. Build, build, build. Hold the line when something breaks, then get back to building. You absolutely will fail if you insist on building a skyscraper in a single day.
Turning folks away at a time when you’re politically disadvantaged simply because you think you know which ones will “actually be Democrats” is also terribly, terribly naive (or narcissistic or both). You’re not psychic and neither am I. People DO change their political perspective all the time and you can’t always predict who is going to change, who is going to stick with it.
And besides, a big reason the right is in the position it is in now – FULL CONTROL of the federal government, largely in control of state & local government top to bottom across the country – is because they were willing to welcome folks into their house party. It didn’t matter if folks only aligned on one topic. It didn’t matter if it was only going to be a series of short-term wins. Those short-term wins added up, and added up, even if people eventually walked away. Trump and his cronies have almost absolute power now, in part because they courted the latino vote in key areas. Do you honestly think they care about the latino vote long-term now that you’re seeing what they’re doing to those communities?
The ideological purity test being touted here is the losing strategy. Short-term. Long-term. Full-term.
