Fo’ sheezy. If hate is the problem in US politics then any neutral outside observer can’t help but notice the hate runs both ways, viscerally. To me, I’d go further, they seem to be so wrapped up in labels they’ve forgotten their basic humanity.
Edit before posting: Not all USians are consumed with hate - maybe just the vocal ones?

The UK is split up into 650 areas. During a GENERAL election everybody eligible, and that can be bothered, in a constituency votes for a single candidate, the one with the most votes wins and becomes the MP for that area. 650 MP’s get elected this way.
Nige has resigned as an MP for, uh, reasons so we are having a by-election for just a specific one 650th of the UK.
I think there’s a tiny subsection of humanity where it’s unfortunately easier to explain things with a closed fist than an open mouth. “Strength” is the only language they understand - so how else can we communicate?
I don’t advocate violence but I see it like presents - it’s better to give then receive.
When has banning something never not worked?
For a different perspective over in the UK the vast majority of pubs were (are?) members of “Pub Watch.” Every so often the Police would turn up with a photo list for the premises of banned people in your area. It’s worth noting that everyone on the list had been criminally convicted of alcohol related violence and were subject to banning orders.
Kill a relative or two as a final favour. Check if the wife still wants to live, check if I can be bothered to carry on. If so I’d either head into the mountains or down to the coast (get a boat) and try and get away from population centres for a year.
