Now, 404 Media reports that Quittr leaked data about hundreds of thousands of users’ masturbation habits as well as lied about its security issues.

The US speaker of the house Mike Johnson has mentioned many times how he and his son monitor each other’s masturbation habits through an app

Are the app’s servers hosted on Epstein island? A father and son sharing chicken choking habits just sounds creepy.

Because porn addiction is a real thing and some people who suffer from it want help.

As someone who dealt for way too many years with a heroin addiction, I keep reading things like this and wanting to say stuff like ‘porn addiction isn’t a real addiction.’ But TBF I’ve never had a porn addiction and don’t know what it’s like, so I can’t say that. But there are undeniable differences.

That’s a reasonable position that doesn’t invalidate the experiences of others [genuine]. There are definitely differences between heroin addiction and porn addiction, but either can be life ruining. Heroin tends to be more dangerous, but that can depend on what kind of porn the person is addicted to, just ask David Carradine.

Can you believe the developers of that app are paying real money for ads for it? I get Quittr ads online and Facebook all the time. Someone is paying money to try and convince me to not to wank. I can’t imagine a bigger waste of money.

The part that really blows my mind is that someone is paying for this app…

Same but then I found out that most people I know pay close to $500/year in subscriptions alone. Some don’t even remember all the subscriptions they have! A guy at my work was saying that money was really tight and he saved a ton just by cancelling his Adobe and Capcut subscriptions. That’s on top of at least 3-4 streaming platforms as well.

“Porn addiction,” like “sex addiction,” isn’t recognized by the DSM-5, which classifies mental disorders. While porn-viewing can be compulsive, like other behaviors, research suggests that perceived porn addiction predicted distress over actual porn use itself. Yet, the idea of “porn addiction” persists in the U.S., which lacks comprehensive sex education requirements in many states; only 37 percent of states require sex education to be medically accurate, according to Boston University.

What a perfect example of how sexuality is suppressed, controlled, then monetized in the US, and the harm it causes.

You reminded me of a post I saw in r/catholicism. OP wanted to stop masturbating, but wasn’t able to overcome the urge and felt very bad about it, knowing it was wrong, and was asking advice. All the comments were in the line of “Just trust and submit to Jesus and he’ll help you”.

WTF… I felt bad for OP and other people in a situation like that.

The subtext there is basically that if you’re still not able to shake the habit, you haven’t trusted or prayed enough, and that’s why Jesus isn’t helping.

But that’s my point, everything feels so restrictive. Why is doing something harmless that you want and enjoy doing seen in such a negative way.

It’s like people who reply “rtfm”, except these people actually think they are helping, while the rtfm replier just thinks the question asker isn’t worthy of their knowledge (or wants to hide that they don’t know while maintaining their “I am wise” persona).

    Nobody:

Me: the rise of prudence and moral scandalizing in both extremes of the spectrum- the Christian right and the feminist left, are reminiscent of Victorian society. They’re in a permanent state of shock and appallment and full of moral condemnation at the mention of sex or the purely sexual expression of the human condition, as if it’s something that needs to be policed and follow hard norms decided by some nebulous gaggle of moral makers that get ever more extreme in their judgments, claiming an absolute moral authority to determine the framework within which others must behave and think when it comes to sexual identity.

My cousin Walter jerked off in public once. True story. He was on a plane to New Mexico when all of a sudden the hydraulics went. The plane started spinning around, going out of control. So he decides it’s all over and whips it out and starts beating it right there. So all the other passengers take a cue from him and they start whipping it out and beating like mad. So all the passengers are beating off, plummeting to their certain doom, when all of a sudden, the hydraulics kick back in, and the plane rights itself. It lands safely and everyone puts their pieces or, whatever you know, away and deboard. Nobody mentions the phenomenon to anyone else.

Just jerk off. As long as you don’t rub your dick raw it’s healthy. And Jesus doesn’t give a fuck. Mostly because he is not real you dingus.

There’s no more reason to doubt the existence of a Jewish carpenter who pissed off the government and got nailed up for it than there is to doubt the existence of the Roman official who ordered the nailing.

The supernatural stuff is a different matter.
