Either way my point isn’t that you should like Russia or Putin or believe in something uncritically, my point was that western media has predicted Russian collapsing any minute now for years and it doesn’t seem to be the case, so some skepticism is warranted. As long as you’re aware of the biases of the media you consume you can at least understand it better, and this includes whatever media and personalities you find trustworthy.

It’s like comparing modern America to pre-Civil War America.
