they were charging $1/barrel, but are now charging $?/barrel or whatever you’re transiting through the strait (plus a ‘security charge’), and that depends on who, and where you’re from (definitely not an ‘enemy state’!). And that’s even if you’re allowed through at all!

the worst part of all of this is that, before Trump’s first term, we had a far better deal with Iran, but Trump shredded it because he hated that a black guy, Obama, did better than he could. So, he tore it up, and it took him 11 years to get a super-shitty deal that basically gives Iran everything it could ever want:
- total control over the Strait of Hormuz forever (which it never had before)
- the ability to charge tolls
- to absolute fear of the entire world
- no need for nukes, since it can squeeze the balls of the world by closing the “Strait of Iran” whenever it wants
- a ceasefire from Israel, which only happened because the USA smacked Netanyahu
Trump is an idiot, and the US ate shit to give Trump a “win” so he could look better to his racist base
