There is a setting on the device that will literally cook you alive in your own skin.

Again, to cook a crowd of people alive on the street, you just turn the power knob to that setting

There is a reason the military never deployed this, even in a war zone. It’s the same reason the military wouldn’t let trump use it at the border or on protesters, both of which he tried to do his last term.

Now the military leadership is just yes men, “Hitler-style generals” which is explicitly what he said he wanted, they’ll let him use the people cooking device on Americans.

Wanted to come in and be pedantic about heat wave versus micro wave.

Very different waves thank you very much.

Its a microwave weapon. So you could probably stop this with a fabric that has some/ any kind of metallic weave, and a grounding wire. Likewise, microwaves are also easily physically blocked.

    Please refer to: https://inv.nadeko.net/watch?v=UC3O6B_K9Us

Now, what would be scare, is if they have a phased array version of this, which is also why you should be holding onto a few microwaves in the barn. I’d suggest no fewer than 9 on hand, although you could probably get by with five. Please refer to https://github.com/NawfalMotii79/PLFM_RADAR from a few months back for context.

Generally, microwaves are going to be far more efficient at disabling electronics. Even a simple microwave canon can shut an unhardened drone or other electronic device down from many meters away. The problem is that, at least as far as I know, there are no readily available or efficient microwave lasers. In lieu of that, your next best bet would be beam forming/ beam steering using a phased array. Could probably extend the range to hundred of meters doing so. But thats going to require a lotta amps. So don’t sell your old leaf.

Me and the homies are always carrying our head-to-toe outfits woven with connected micro-wires that have gaps no bigger than the wavelength if the microwave gun, and are always protesting on grass.

And ideally wet grass and sufficiently moist soil able to create a significant outfit to ground connection, not to mention supporting an active and vibrant soil ecosystem.

        wavelength if the microwave gun

That parts actually pretty easy. Its why you can see into a microwave and not get ray-gunned to the eyes. Thats the gap one would need to target.

Ez? We’re knitting wires into a flexible surface that will be distorting constantly as they are wildly subjected to forces from every direction. It’d need to be something like full body chainmail with no gaps even for the eyes.

Damn, TIL. Thanks for the heads up. I think the best use would be a wall of this that could be unfurled and held between two people on either end of the group. Though a thousand copper ghosts would be super intimidating.

I don’t think you could get away with just a jacket though. Any exposed skin is going to burn like it’s in a fire.

I mean its literally in the link I initially posted:

                https://inv.nadeko.net/embed/UC3O6B_K9Us?t=1215

They take a simple riot shield, and put one layer of the copper impregnated fabric over it, then as the resistor, they use some neon bulbs which also give you an indication of if you are being hit by radio energy.

Blocking a device like this requires some forethought and planning, but even thats been done for us. Actually their most clever idea was to embed the fabric between two layers of posterboard for a protest sign. So you’ve got your sign and its just a sign, but then when they turn on the human microwave canon, you’ve got a shield you can protect yourself with.

Right, and that’s great brainstorming on their part. In practice, against the real, purpose built, military grade, crowd dispersal device, you need to cover every bit of exposed skin.

Any exposed skin, your shins for the half-height shield idea, everything else if you’re just wearing a jacket, your hands feet face eyes neck etc if you’re wearing pants too, will feel like it is in the middle of a roasting oven. The pain will be unbearable.

But, let’s say also you’re a master level 9000 monk and you can just sit with your eyes in an oven, or your feet and shins. I doubt this has been extensively tested as safe on people for five minute exposures at “safe” levels, and we know it will burn you in seconds if they turn it up. Which they will totally do if you don’t move.

There is a reason the military brought it to two theaters but never used it even on crowds of armed combatants. Standing in that beam for an extended period, or even seconds if they decide to turn it up, risks lifelong damage to any exposed skin.

So, you’ll need full body coverage, and unless you want to be taken out when you’re the only person left standing in the middle of the street, so will hundreds of others. Or all this prep is for nothing. I’m not trying to say “don’t bother, big wee nazis are too much”. I’m just laying out the base for a defense that will succeed.

Another option would be redirecting the beam back to its source. If it can be used for good, that would be best. But again we’re back to everyone having a defense and knowing how to use it and coordinate. Or the person with the beam will just avoid the group with the concave shields doing spartan shit and disperse everyone else.
