Is there any way to suppress ads in Voyager? Given that the Israeli’s are using ads to spread malware not having them pop up is a priority.

If you’re seeing ads, you’ve installed a malicious version of Voyager. Stick to the links in the sidebar or install from FDroid.

I was imprecise, I meant when I click a link and the native browser displays the the page complete with ads.

You mean in the embedded browser? Assuming you’re on Android, install AdAway or another hosts-based ad blocker that applies system-wide. You could also set your system DNS server to one that blocks ad domains.

Either that or open links in a full browser that has uBlock Origin installed. To switch, go to Settings - General - Other - Open Links In - Default Browser.

In Voyager: Settings>General>Open Links>In Default Browser

Then just make sure your default browser has an adblocker, like Waterfox or similar

      This is the way.

The “in app browser” that phone apps offer is for convenience alone, not security nor anything else that matters in our current “techbros vs humanity” reality.
