Asking rich people to contribute 2% more? Oh, the humanity! How will they ever survive this insult? Surely, society will collapse under the economic strain.
190k is doing all right these days if someone has a family. Single? Ya probably pretty well off, but I wouldn’t call it “rich” still. I imagine a rich person with a giant house on land with all the comforts they could want.
