The last few years are a result of choosing the lesser evil. Trump only ran because the clintons convinced him to do so. He very probably only got the nomination due to the media attention, which was only there due to the “pied piper” strategy of the democrats. And then he only won because any alternative to Hillary got ratfucked out of a nomination and every critique of her was shouted down.
The last few years are an example of what happens when you stop choosing the lesser evil.
Of course, what we should be doing is working on getting a non-evil to a position of being selectable. But who’s got time or energy for that?
