Nope. He didn’t fire you. Your boss fired you. They could have arranged alternative work at a temp warehouse nearby or called up their capitalist buddies at other warehouses to work out a way for you all to keep your job. Your boss, of course, didn’t do any of that and insurance will cover a big part of the losses anyway, so it’s just a temporary setback on their part that they willingly made more consequential on yours.
This will always be the outcome until the historic means of ensuring workers rights are resumed.

I don’t know how much he was getting paid, but I was making good money there. You know I’m a little bummed out. I lost my job.
Definitely trying their best to make sure we sorry for everyone associated with these soulless corporations.
Kimberly-Clark said its supply chain network “is designed for continuity during disruptions and mitigating actions are already in motion.” In other words, there won’t be a toilet paper or diaper shortage or a disruption in supply due to the Ontario distribution center fire.
Oh and even trying to make us feel like actions like this are futile.
This is how you know they’re scared.
Genuinely a reasonable response and a reasonable set of actions.
If more people did this, the US would actually have worker’s rights again.
It’s not a reasonable response in a reasonable society. But our society is extremely sick.
An individual can get fed up and do something unreasonable that looks reasonable to those living in that sick society that see no other way to respond.
I am looking forward to the day that instead of a individual acting alone that we as workers realize our power together. I’m waiting for and working the day that, instead of burning a warehouse down, we as workers join together and arm ourselves and occupy warehouses until demands are met.
I don’t know if acts like this brings us closer to that day or not. I hope so.
