I’m confused, are you saying that the USA doesn’t allow their citizens to leave? The USA is not east Germany, there are reasons that a citizen would be not allowed to leave but usually that is criminal offenses. Unlike many communist countries, USA does not restrict movement. Are you sure your friends aren’t lying to you?
