I completely stonewalled the comcast retention stuff and I think I cut the entire call down to 5 minutes once I had someone on the line. I almost felt bad because she was clearly new and had a trainer with her. I just kept saying ‘just cancel the service’ every attempt to ask me something was met with ‘have you cancelled the service yet’

Lady I have anxiety about phone calls, I am not happy I have to make one. If I have to play this conversation through in my head 100 times then we’re following one of the scripts I have ready, not comcast’s.

I used to use mpc-hc so I feel you, but I did just check their site and it literally has a banner saying “MPC-HC is not under development since 2017. Please switch to something else.” mpv is pretty good.

music bee is a bit trickier. There are roughly 5000 music players for linux and they all seem to have every feature you want except for one. Sayonara came the closest for me, I haven’t used it recently so maybe its better now but all I found it lacking was some smart playlist stuff.

I don’t know what sort of wastewater people were imagining. It’s a datacenter, it’s not like it’s some crazy industrial process with chemical waste. They’re not grinding servers up in a blender and dumping it down the drain.
