It absolutely does matter. The obvious privacy aspect is that it’s the base of your entire network so it can gobble up all your data. The security aspect is that routers based on OpenWRT get security updates for many many years, unlike typical routers.

41·12 days agoYou can change whatever settings you like but ultimately it’s closed software so you can’t trust it. Do what you need to practice privacy with the intent of getting a Graphene phone when possible for you

Yup. This is what I’ve found to be the problem for me. And yes it’s quite ironic
