Well, Windows went from 3.1(.1) to '95, and Windows NT went from 4.0 to 2000. Also Microsoft Office went from 4.0 to '95. Visual Studio oddly went from 97 to .NET to 2003.

Ohh. They pulled a Microsoft and switched to years. 🙄

Patched. 😆😞
SearXNG generates nice “cached” links for reddit search results to the Wayback Machine, which is helpful if an archived version exists. It’s so painfully slow, though (no shade on archive.org - we’re lucky they still exist). I finally went back to DDG for routine searches. 🙁

Anecdotal but my phone battery life has been greatly improved since I disabled Google Maps. I was hitting the 20% warning routinely before end of day previously, and now I typically have 30-40% when I plug it in at night.
On a related note, MapQuest offers Android Auto integration, and the turn-by-turn experience has been adequate in my admittedly limited testing.
YMMV.

TFW attempts to regulate are indistinguishable from marketing
Apparently they don’t live or breed in your house. They just come in, munch down, and peace out. Hard to look at, though. 🫣
I used VLC for years and years but mainly on Windows. When I moved to Linux exclusively for my personal machines a few years ago, I started using MPV just because that’s what was installed. I play all videos from a bash command line that launches gamescope to get HDR support for videos that support it (currently stuck on Nvidia). Works really well.

Me and my wife (not much of a gamer) have been playing All Hands on Deck and she loves it. Shared screen co-op puzzle platformer. Wholesome family fun!

Can’t spell “copilot” without “cop”.
We don’t talk about ME.
