This is why diversification matters and you shouldn’t put all your eggs in one basket. The US stock market is currently at pretty insane valuations, but the international market isn’t and has actually been outperforming the US market for almost two years now.

This might be one of those things where self hosting isn’t worth the pain, like email.

I’ve heard navidrome is good. I use plexamp right now but might eventually switch. For the normal user, however, that’s too complicated.

You actually use this? I just looked into it and the idea seems interesting, but I’m not sure how they deal with copyright issues with sharing. Seems like it has an extremely small user base so maybe nobody has come after them yet?

Between that, having high bit rate music, and last I recall being the music streaming platform that pays the actual artist the most, Tidal is making a strong case for being the best platform out there.
