Asimov’s novels do explore risks and potential of AI, but they’re about actual intelligence and awareness of self. While renting out the parenting is problematic either way, Asimov’s AI would at least be equipped for the challenge.

I really don’t want to think what being raised by a llm would do to a child.

Even assuming that’s an accurate picture, “I don’t care what you do as long as I don’t have to acknowledge you exist” is still homophobia.
