I’m not making any argument other than why you may experience some skepticism.

but why would I post it if that wasn’t true?
Dozens of reasons, really. People do irrational stuff all the time.

Sure, I get that. But I can also just as easily say the same thing and claim it is one of the largest companies in the world.
You are 100% corect that we should not trust companies with our data. No argument there. Please just realize we might have some skepticism.

I appreciate this post, but this is also a lot of “trust me, bro” to…well, trust.

This is 1 million% what’s at play here. Tech bros HATE that they have to deal with stupid laws, and putting a server outside of the jurisdiction of literally every country is a dream. A giant server ship has to dock, it needs fuel…not so with something in orbit (in Elon fantasy land anyway)

I love so much that there are real, hilarious consequences for overzealous early adoption. You can’t make this shit up.

Even better!

Linus Torvalds ain’t gonna check my ID. And i don’t want him to, either.

All Americans should have frozen their credit years ago.

This is over the top. I’ve had this trying to get a rarely used email account back, but if you own the account that can reset the password…why do this?

Whew - all the things I’m missing having switched to Linux a couple years ago.
But now I had a new bug: Chrome would randomly lock up for about 30 seconds when a video was playing
First - I can’t believe people still use Chrome. Second - Chrome has done shit like this for 10 years.
Homeboy here is a classic example of a frog boiling slowly. Glad he made it out.

Not hooty owls, it’s a conferencing thing.
I used to love turning town loud TVs in bars back when IR blasters were common.
