I could do Flatpaks if needed. Actually, that might be better on handheld anyway. But great to hear I wouldn’t lose access to the performance-tweaking stuff.

I think I’m going to test it with an image that includes Steam Gaming Mode so I can test it all both ways. Steam Deck will be my guinea pig for Steam Machine. If I’m able to do everything from Desktop Mode, I’ll reinstall the OS without Gaming Mode, or otherwise I’ll use Heroic/Decky to make things work as smoothly as possible with multiple launchers.

I might just be weird, but I feel like I’m the only person who wants a dGPU slot in a 13-inch laptop. The 16 is just too big, even for gaming.

The 13 isn’t powerful enough for high-end gaming and the 16 is impractically large.

I am so glad I had the foresight to use yt-dlp to back up most of my favorite videos. Not all of them, but I just thought we’d get more time.

But yeah, I knew this would happen. The age verification thing was really controversial, so Google would have had to expect that people would try to find other ways to access YouTube. They won’t stop here and will go after Deno and NewPipe.

I’m pretty much done with YouTube. It’s just not what it used to be. All my favorite YouTubers are either gone, have changed for the worse, or are on Nebula. It’s mostly just slop, and I won’t miss it.
