The us army has a wonderful track record with occupation (what you are talking about is going to be even worse for them). They could not beat Iraq or Afghanistan and there they were able to pretend they are not really human, in the states? Ehhhh I would be shocked if the us army could even fight the us people. They are not winning that fight, sad that americans think like the army could.
I think they just hate, nothing is protected even what they claim.
This is actually great news for us non usa nations now. Oddly enough the scam has resulted in a non functioning murder machine, wild.
I guess this phenomenon also explains russia and others, years of chest banging and massive military force gains (on paper) while every corner is cut for profit makes for a paper tiger. I don’t even think its something that goes un noticed, I think about 40 years of us navy reports screaming about not having new non capital ships or China finding out a bunch of their rocket fuel had be replaced by water. Difference seems to be less about capital and more on how the nation deals with this corruption, China for example seems to have a line that once crossed puts generals in front of firing squads where in the usa they just join the grift.
You know how in the movie Idiocracy they used " 'baitin" as a shock factor, and had all the woman characters be demeaned and sexualized?
Somehow, this is a lot worse.
More so when the us is as stupid and weak as it is now. They have ran out of guided munitions for example, still stuck in Iran and looking very less like a super power everyday.
Yeah, and this is how I know you never worked in the random standard production to miss the humor. Its a picture of a tech bro type in a clearly decommissioned closet stressed out about what’s going on, a common thing and always funny. I can just picture the tech on site in the next room replacing a fan on a much less “cool” looking appliance while that guy stresses out on a conference call with the “stakeholders” on his coax nest.
Now that being said I have worked on places still using coax (might still be) and tape libraries, and all sorts of museum pieces well after you would think they would. But I can tell that picture is after decommission since it is clean. If that was in use it would be filthy and filled with so many things that may or may not be important/in use. Fans all clogged running at max rpm, and the smell… I can still smell it now. But then again I was the guy they called to fix shit after the local (often tech bro) it guy gives up so I think I often saw the worst places.
Yeah, but has anyone asked grok about this yet?
The issue is that they don’t care, they sell the data to others and they get to spin it while doing it. Its not selling data (that you are broke) to an advertiser, its the idea of that advertiser falling behind if they don’t buy your data (that you are broke).
unless they’re smart enough to try to connect to any open network they can find like some sort of malware
Uhhhhhhh, bad news there. Many companies have been found to have their stuff make hidden networks and share info these days. I am sure you could figure out a work around if you are savvy enough, but the normal dood? Fucked and pretending this is normal.
Possible that they are piggy backing on other hidden networks. I remember there was a whole thing with Samsung years ago with their stuff doing something like that, and there are a few patents around that propose hidden networks from the “internet of things” days.
I just don’t want to even truck with this nonsense, where the fuck is the line before we just stop using these things? I know there must not be a line, since we are talking about circumventing our shit spying on us like it is normal.
We live in a time where the starship troopers movie was fucking subtle… wow.
Whoever picked that stock photo needs a raise, chefs kiss.
Eh, we see lots of people infested places and they can also live there. The two things can both be true. (Granted the number of sharks needed for this title is a bit low).
I would get in a jonhy cab way before one of these.
He rips them up all the time, even the ones he himself made. They are worth less then nothing, if anything treaties are just inverted instructions on what he should do.
Maybe North Mexico? Naw that is mean to Mexicans.
Ummm, more then you think. If it makes them look bad then yeah. In this case I don’t think anyone (even the big players) where pumped about this law. If they could spin it as a win then yeah, reality be damned. But here I doubt they even got much of a rise from distros that don’t sell their stuff anyways.
The logic is none of these distros would do shit to comply with this, and enforcement is almost impossible. This is just saving face.
Hey come on now, don’t give those weird Alberta separatists any more ideas! There are 100s of them and that is way too many!
