Thank you and absolutely. And I feel even better when the people I share my work with, like it.

Of course :)

Thank you

Thank you. I was actually thinking of that. I’ll need to find out how and then will go for it for sure.

I’ve built an Android copy of Still :) https://github.com/kalzEOS/stillshelf

You got it running? You good? Also, I’m happy that you like it. When I make something for myself, I make sure I love it, otherwise, I wouldn’t share it at all. Let me know if you need any help.

Screenshots are in.

I agree with you 100%. This is on me. I’ll be putting screenshots there as soon as I get home. I just kept hammering at the app and forgot about the screenshots. Good call out.

Functionality wise, the official one works no problem. It’s the UI. I’m a visual person and like eye candy. I liked how the iOS app Still looked, so I thought why not? Wanted to have fun with it. That’s all :)
Edit: I’ll be adding screenshots soon.
Edit 2: screenshots are now in.

That’s ok. I’m very much upfront about it. I’m not selling and making money, nor will I ever even ask for donations. I use AI for building things only for myself and literally have never shared with anyone before because I know some folks just don’t like it. But this one was too good not to share. It’s out there, and those who hate AI aren’t forced to use it. Is that fair?

I started working on an Android app that is technically a copy of the iOS app Still. It’s crazy how there are only two apps on Android for Audiobookshelf that are fully functional

I’ve started working on a copy of still for Android. It got really frustrating that there were only two apps for Android and both aren’t what I want, so I’m creating a Still copy.

Not to worry. Thank you for being awesome <3

Brother. Take a deep breath. Lmao. You’re coming in hot with all these assumptions without knowing me. First assertion is that I am actually originally an American. I’m a fucking immigrant whose country had very little cars, and we didn’t even have such thing as public transportation. We just walked. Near me here in the US, the nearest bus stop is about a mile away. And the bus comes there literally once every couple of hours. So, going to the gym would take me at least 3 hours or more including my gym time.
I don’t assume people are poor or ghetto or whatever shit you assumed I do without knowing me. Jeez. It would be the kettle calling the pot black, my dude. It would be stupid. I’ve been working out my whole life and I don’t need any lessons from you, thank you. I’ve never been fat in my life and will never be (I don’t go to the gym to be skinny. I can do that without gym). I just don’t want to waste 3 hours for something I can do in 5 minutes. I have this thing called life and family, ya know? My car is old and paid off, too. It ain’t no damn luxury either. Worked my ass off to pay it off. Don’t assume things about strangers you don’t know.

You must live in Europe. I’d rather walk the 3 miles from my house to the gym than wait for our bus in the US.

A chicken running with its head cut off = intel. Wtf are they doing? It has been very obvious that Linux gaming is taking off, and the GPU/gaming market has a huge gap that they can fill, but they just walked the other way. What?

She fucking loved it. She literally deleted the other one right away.
It does have some things locked behind a paywall, but they’re not essentials to the app like downloading a book like other apps did. This one locks some customizations and adding more than one server behind a paywall, which is something I don’t have anyway and she doesn’t care about customization on the Home Screen. I’m still going to buy the premium to support the dev anyway.
Thank you so much <3

I know for a fact they’re better than a physical book, but I just can’t focus and understand them. It’s insane how my brain just blocks them. The other day, I literally even stared at the screen trying to follow the book, a couple of seconds later, I was thinking of something else. 😂. Gave up. I might need some training or something

I’ll leave that part for the wife to take care of, since she’s the one who does audiobooks. I can’t. I will never be able to actually listen to an audiobook no matter how much I try. I don’t know if it’s my ADHD or what, but I just can’t focus.
SetupSet up my audiobookshelf server successfully. Also, just realized that the Synology NAS that I’ve had running for a couple of years now without really using it much, can be mounted onto my Debian server, that I use a lot, as a mass storage and will work just fine. Mind blown. I now have plenty of storage after struggling for a while. Lmao.
