Framework will charge you extra if you choose to configure the laptop with Windows, while Ubuntu comes free, thanks to being open-source.

    If a large portions of their customers are programmers then this makes sense. Why would you want buy Windows as a programmer - unless you are forced to.

      If one mostly works with windows ecosystem, then it makes sense. That said I still work plenty on legacy windows app, but I’m fine with Linux and windows VM guest.
