A certain liberal in my life has been celebrating this Israeli election. “If they can vote Netanyahu out, and we can get a blue wave in the midterm votes, then maybe people will vote trump out and Israel will ease up on Palestine! It’s finally happening!” And I get told I’m the selfish privileged one for not voting for the new “LGB drop the T” democrat wave. I hate this country.
My parents are such fucking liberals. Orban, Vucic, Bolsonaro, and I’m betting they’re going to celebrate “the triumph of the people” that voted out Netenyahu. I’m sick and fucking tired of having to hear this EVERY SINGLE FUCKING DAY and how “The americans are fighting!” and “it takes great bravery to be against Trump in the US!”(because some celebrity fucks they like like Robert DeNiro happens to not support Trump). I’ve unironically been told I’m spouting russian propaganda when I say anything even remotely neutral about Russia. I’ve been verbally abused over telling someone not to watch Newsmax (you know, NEWSMAX). The notion that “oh they’ll get VOTED out! Their time will come!” makes me cringe on every level possible. It’s a fucking uphill battle trying to read even a morsel of theory while getting blasted from every side with bourgeois propaganda. I’m fucking tired.
The Americans are making fucking tik tok chicken dances and calling parades “protests,” there isn’t shit happening here. Everyone’s angry, but it’s all getting funneled into the fucking DNC and the midterms. It’s all just “Trump” now. “Oh, you’re nightmarishly transphobic and you think Palestinians deserve to be shot? Well, at least you don’t like Trump! That’s good enough for me! You’re on the right side of history for that!” The moment he’s out of power it’s gonna be celebrating in the streets, endless nonsense about how “the world is saved” and how we can all go back to the way things used to be, all the while Palestine is still getting flattened, the now controlling DNC moves forward with the same nazi bullshit anti trans legislation MAGA was pushing, homelessness keeps going up, healthcare stays a joke, the flock cameras keep getting installed, ICE becomes the new normal, and nothing actually changes, while liberals tell you you’re the nitpickey redfash who hates unity.
