    “history went differently here” is not an inherent trait. If anything, you just said “we are better because we are lucky”

      It’s not? Why is it not? History just doesn’t happen randomly. Do what do people believe and what do people value not effect their history? Does what a society value not shape its history? Does the history of a people not show the things that make up their character? What do you judge a people on if not their actions?

      Ireland was not lucky, they went through a starvation thanks to England, a rebellion to break free of British imperialism, then a civil war over how much to compromise with the UK.

        I didn’t say they didn’t work hard. They’re lucky to have had people who did that work.
