Iran should use its best efforts to let commercial vessels pass safely with no charge for 60 days Only if the usa respected all terms which they didn’t Point 1 : The United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran and their allies in the current war by signing this MoU, declare the immediate and permanent termination of military operations on all fronts, including in Lebanon**___**

Iran will conduct dialog with Oman to define the future administration in the Strait

It means the decision will be made by both countries together, it didn’t say the usa could pass from an alternate route

Neither Iran nor the USA managed to stop their allies from fighting in Lebanon, so it’s a quite weak to point there to justify restarting the fighting in the Strait

It means the decision will be made by both countries together, it didn’t say the usa could pass from an alternate route

It says shipping should restart immediately for 60 days without charges, and Iran can negotiate with Oman (and the other littoral states) for a future arrangement

Feel free to cite from the text where you feel it says ships would have to do what Iran tells them (even within those 60 days)

It doesn’t matter, it was a condition that the USA did not respect , it not Iran fault that they sign the MOU. The usa did not use any leverages to put pressure on Israel

So both Iran and the USA failed on that point, but it’s only the USA’s fault and means Iran can fire on innocent people? Interesting logic

No the USA failed. The USA signed the MOU then did nothing to pressure Israel to get out. Since the USA breached it first , Iran has the right to nullify it . When you have an existential threat like Iran had you have the right to use all means necessary to prevent it that’s why it is ok when Ukraine hit oil refineries which are not military target where innocent people work . Those ships just had to follow the right route.
