Design Theory examines how the modern design landscape has shifted toward a sterile, homogeneous aesthetic driven by algorithmic influence rather than genuine human emotion. By analyzing cars, consumer technology, and urban planning, the exploration reveals how this trend impacts our connection to products and the future, challenging the necessity of sacrificing soul for efficiency.

Ferrari is a boutique car maker. You’re comparing a grocery store box of eggs to a Faberge egg. Volumes are way lower and profit margins are way higher on those Faberge eggs. Focusing on a high-end market segment is a viable business strategy.

No, I’m not watching 100th video on why that new Ferrari is ugly according to internet outrage farms.

The video is not about that. You are literally prejudging a video because of the thumbnail. It’s your loss.

It seems to be biased and wrong from the get go so why would I watch something that seems to be designed to feed off internet outrage? There’s so much of that on the internet that it’s hard not to trip over it these days. I’m not interested in a video essay on society, design and technology that’s the same outrage, just repackaged.

Does the video mention that this EV sold above expectations?
