Self-Host Weekly is sponsored by Coder. AI coding agents run on your laptop with your credentials, your network access, and no record of what they touched. Coder is open source and gives every agent a self-hosted workspace you define in Terraform, so your code never leaves the machines you own.

Nasty. I thought this was satire at first and had to read it back.

      From the newsletter:

no record of what they touched

      From the site:

Centralized model access and policy-controlled environments with full observability and auditability across all AI usage.

We might have some wires crossed somewhere.

Can you help me understand why this is awful?

If you’re serious… Essentially their AI impersonates you with impunity and keeps no records of what it’s done. Its a fucking security nightmare at best.
