Man, he really outshone 9/11 last year, huh?

I think they are making up for it this year though. I’ve been hearing nothing but news stories about the 9/11 anniversary since Monday.

He couldn’t stand to not be the center of attention, he was neck and neck with the other maga influencers last year.

This year is the 25th anniversary so that may be part of why you’re hearing so much about it.

Indeed, you’re most likely correct. I just always find it strange how much of the news cycle it dominates each year, even on off-years. I wonder if 25 years after Pearl Harbor the newspapers and radio newscasters were still reporting on it with as much enthusiasm, or were they more focused on the Vietnam conflict and more recent and relevant headlines. Pearl Harbor day today gets like a 5 minute segment and then they move on, but with 9/11 it’s almost become an annual cultural event.

It must suck to have been born after 9/11/2001 and constantly be reminded about this attack that you weren’t even alive for, all because other people don’t want to forget it happened, and you can’t even meaningfully participate in the main cultural aspect of 9/11 which is sharing storied about “what were you doing on the day it happened?”.

Well 9/11 is still relevant to be fair although I doubt much of the news coverage is about the aftermath.
