Republican strategists are now openly warning that Trump’s trade war with Canada is a big problem in the midterms, especially in states with big Senate races.
So their concern has nothing to do with the fact that their country and the entire planet’s geopolitical stability is being destroyed by an insane felon, and everything to do with them losing power.

Yeah that’s pretty much been their basically admitted thought process for a long time now.
The world must begin an educational campaign that teaches people, that “you losing” is not necessarily a required condition for “me winning”. If we can pull that off, the movement of right-wing populist fascism will deflate so fast.
