Removing the microphone from a smart TV remote does little to prevent corporations from tracking everything else you do. Why not just get rid of the smart TV?
All the tracking and analytics are what enable them to sell TVs for lower prices. If you want a commercial display you can buy one, but it will cost a lot more than a regular smart TV with the same display. I vote for buying the cheap TV and gutting the tracking features to screw over the corpos who are getting their profit from invading peoples’ privacy.
Been exploring outdoor digital signage screens for my next tv. Looks like a viable option but a bit of a markup over consumer models.

Finished it. I had one of those onn walmart chatgipty spy pervert remotes from shitty ass walmart. look for the hole on the remote the mic is below that then cafefully disassemble with a razor blade. Took directional cutters and crushed that shit. The regular tv is no longer connected to the net. The remote cannot listen. Fuck the gipity… alll the gipity always and forever amen
