Maybe some people are a bit too ‘all or nothing’ when it comes to privacy. Youtube isn’t the best, but what Gamers Nexus does is incredible investigative journalist work and they should be celebrated for it. I’d have had no idea about this had they not done the work they did. Fuck Google, for sure, but let’s not toss the baby out with the bathwater.
Privacy is really more a spectrum than anything. A spectrum of what are you willing to deal with and how much is it going to impact your life. At least that is how I see that. Anyways, on that note, fuck LG.

I’m not a fan of YT so the least you could do in a privacy sub is post an alt link for Christ’s sake… Also, that fucking video is 2 HOURS?! Oh hell no!
Edit: OK I watched about 10 minutes, going to dig into my old 2016 LG TV to see if it does this… 3D or not, it’ll go into the trash!
These guys are spending tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours of their time to bring this information to you and advocating for your privacy rights and you complain about where the video is hosted and the length of it?

Tens of thousands off YouTube… So why the fuck would I support them through Patreon when they get YT money?!
Good for them for doing the PSA and research, is appreciated. But I’m not utilizing a YT link and am respecting others’ data privacy too.
Read more carefully, I said they are spending tens or hundreds of thousands to do this stuff, not that they are earning that amount. Youtube income doesnt cover the costs. Thats why they have merch and other sales. They also don’t have third party sponsors anymore.
Grow an attention span.
Pssshh, some of us have lives and don’t feel like watching 2 hours of some YT channel when the gist can be wrapped up in a <15 minutes. Plus, this is a privacy group, should be respectful of NOT using a big bro link, but I get some people don’t actually care or understand the premise.
Grow a backbone for your data privacy.
