minus-square☂️-@lemmy.mllinkfedilinkarrow-up2·22 hours agoyes, kind of. they are a proxy that takes them stream from google and streams it back to you from a lightweight frontend. it’s like invidious instances for youtube (nadeko, catsarch, etc) redlib instances for reddit, nitter for twitter (xcancel), imginn for instagram and more. you will often see a bot posting links to them in my instance’s comms when people post links to youtube and such. libredirect is a browser extension that manages them.
