If you can tell it’s fungus from a visual inspection there’s something very, very wrong
Happened to me a few years ago. Went to urgent care with very intense ear pain after recently having a cold. They looked in my ear and saw a big fungal growth and took it out in chunks and then flushed a bunch of saline solution through to get the rest. The biggest chunk looked like maybe half the size of a pea. Felt great after.

At least it didn’t get to my brain. Though for some reason I only eat mushrooms now. And moldy bread. But who doesn’t love chomping down on a good piece of moldy brains, I mean bread.
