I wouldn’t buy their kitchen stuff(especially refrigerators) but I have a washer/dryer from them that are 17 years old now. Absolutely zero issues with them. Like anything, do your research on what you buy. Mine aren’t anything special, mid-range units at best.

My mom had the fridge, dishwasher, clothes washer, and dryer. And over the years every one of them had stuff break. Worst was the ice maker in the fridge, those are notorious. But each of the others had at least one minor feature fail and more than one of them also had the major feature fail at least once.

      especially refrigerators

I moved into a flat that already had a Samsung fridge in it, tall thing with a freezer at the bottom. The noise it makes (gurgling, rattling, vibrating…) is just unbelievable. I also think the temp regulation is not working quite right, I can’t seem to adjust it. But I like my fridge very cold, so I guess that’s OK. I complained to my landlady and she answered: “so, is it so bad that we have to throw it away?” Apparently repairing is not an option. Even if I don’t have to pay for it, I don’t like the idea of throwing away a perfectly usable appliance. So I installed a door and keep my kitchen closed now.

      WTF is up with Samsung?
