I was just about to point out that there’s a sequel series in production where Buffy is a mentor-type for a new young slayer, but apparently Hulu just cancelled that project yesterday.
We just can’t have nice things. If it’s not a reboot, Hollywood won’t invest in it.

I saw the post yesterday, and suggested an animated version then.
Also, both Buffy and Firefly have graphic novel versions that continue the stories.
And some Firefly novels. I’ve read the comics, but not the novels.
Buffy comics went pretty hard on the weird button, so they would probably just ignore it and use elements of it for story.
I liked when Dawn was a giant for no particular reason.
