The NoAI should be the standard and people who wish to play with the sloppy diarrhea could put those features on in the settings - not the other way around and have the settings reset after each time you clear cookies. But gee, thanks for this at least.
I recently was able to change the search engine in my browser (Firefox) from AI-DDG to the NoAI-DDG, and I did it by adding a custom search engine. The URL needed for that, in Firefox, is https://noai.duckduckgo.com/?q=%25s

Yeah but mainline ddg has a lot of ai. I like duckduck but they are actually letting letting people slip into AI. It’s cool they provide a no AI alternative too but that one I’ve not come across despite being a ddg user.
I swapped to Qwant a few weeks ago and I’ve been happy so far! It’s very smooth and was straightforward to set up in Firefox on both mobile and desktop.
Kagi beats all IMO still. Makes the internet enjoyable !!
