Newly approved rules aim to ensure that smaller ratepayers don't wind up footing the bill for power grid upgrades that are primary needed to serve big new users.
The commission also opted to maintain a provision that allows PGE to enter into special contracts with individual large customers who want to cover part of the cost of new infrastructure or clean energy resource installation up front in order to get the new equipment up and running faster, according to PGE’s news release.
This smells like a PR move.
