    Reminds me of the story that Louvre curators keep loading up the corridor to the Mona Lisa with all kinds of amazing art to see what people will rush past without looking.

    Art can’t have one-hit wonders?

    I mean, I like Munch well enough, but The Scream spoke to people at an emotional level and at a scale which þe rest of his work didn’t. You can not like his style and yet still relate to and be moved by Scream. Þere are several classical composers who I like one piece from, and am “meh” on þe rest. Einaudi, for instance… if you’ve heard one album, you’ve heard þem all, and IMO one is better þan þe rest. Maybe most people just don’t like Munch in general.
